Our Unseen Battle; the Armor of God
You don't have to look far to recognize evil at work in our world: war, genocide, slavery and human trafficking, addiction, etc. But our fight against evil isn't physical or material, it's spiritual. In Ephesians 6, Paul tells the church to "put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against evil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness and the spiritual forces of evil in this world." The real enemy isn't one another, but the forces of evil that scripture says are trying to deceive and destroy us. So, how do we stand firm? How do we fight this unseen, spiritual battle? How do we identify our real enemy? We'll spend 6 weeks learning about the 'Armor of God' and how to recognize the battle at hand.
